The farm has been owned and operated by the Montgomery family since the 1940s. We were a dairy farm until 2007 at which time we switched to beef cattle. We recieved our Maryland Deptment of Agriculture organic certification in 2008.
We have over 100 head of Angus and Braunvieh beef cattle. A flock of 200 laying chickens (Barred Rocks, Gold and Silver Wyandottes, Buff Orpington, and Red Stars) and anywhere from 25-200 broilers at a time, a small herd of fainting goats and several pigs.
